Youth Ministry
Our Youth Ministry is not like any other. Christ did not call us to conform to this world, but to change it... radically! We are raising up a new generation of young people that will be bold and be the light in the midst of darkness; take Jesus to the lost; give hope to the hopeless and joy to the brokenhearted. God says in His Word that the heavens suffer violence and the violent take it by force.
Let us work together in challenging our youth to be Warriors for Jesus Christ!
Let us teach them how to take their:
...Needs
...Wants
...Trials
...Problems
...Lack of Understanding
...Insecurities
to the Altar of God.
As Abraham took Isaac to the Altar... I imagine that it was not easy as he got closer to the Altar with each step he took. I imagine that there was intense pain in his heart with each step. But he was believing in God! I believe he must have felt intense pain and anguish as he saw the altar drawing closer to him... as he laid Isaac on the Altar... as He grabbed the knife and cupped it in his hands... as he drew his arms up in the air to offer his son to God... Pain.. Anguish...
BUT then, God speaks and tells Abraham to stop. God has seen the faithfulness of Abraham. All of a sudden, the pain and anguish is replaced by peace and love... As he picks up his son and hugs him... That's the power of God's love in action.
Therefore, young people, we too, must take our insecurities and all that hinders us to God at the Altar and leave it there and see the transformation that only God can do in our lives.
