The Mind, a Battlefield by Rev. Rudy Flores The mind of man is an internal organ to think, imagine, remember, understand, reason, etc. The mind of man occupies a large area of their lives because their thoughts easily influence their actions. Satan and his spirits try to control the mind of the believer. a) The mind is an open camp where great battles take place (2 Cor 10:3-5) b) All thoughts, good or bad, should be brought to Christ.. they need to be rejected Satan first attacks the mind, which is what he did with Eve, then he attacks the heart. If our heart is bad, everything is going to be bad. The Bible tells us that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. We need to fill our hearts and mind with the Word of God so that our outward actions will reflect a Christ-like attitude. We need to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His Strength (Ef. 6:10). What it is to have the mind of Christ (Prov 3:6-10) - When we put God first in all areas of our lives. - When we acknowledge Him in all our ways (Sal 25:4-5) - When we fear God and depart from sin (Prov 4:20-23) - To honor God with all our goods and first fruits. We have to think and walk as Christ did. To have the character of Christ. Oftentimes we allow the enemy to steal the seeds of good in our lives (Mat 13:19, 2 Cor 10:3-6) Don't ever think things like: - I don't deserve this - I am not sufficient Thoughts like these are coming directly from the enemy. Let us be vigilant of the thoughts that want to suddenly creep into our minds and let's stop them before they penetrate our minds. Let's read the Word of God to align our thinking with the Word of God. |
