God is Calling Us

By Dr. Rudy Flores

Hosea 11:1-4

God is extending an invitation for us to have an intimate relationship with Him.  It doesn't matter what is happening in your life at this moment, God is here to give you the solution and give you the encouragement to continue forward.

We are in a good place because we are in God's presence.  The Bible declares that where 2 or 3 are together in His name, He is there.

God did many miracles for Israel but even yet, Israel departed from Him.  One day He heard the crying of His people when they were in Egypt and He sent Moses to take them out of Egypt, from their bondage.

No one can justify themselves before God.

In the times we are living, we can see signs of the end of days, which will cause the love of many to grow cold.  We've got to get back to the basics of life, which is to return to the Bible and do and act the Bible instructs us.  In other words, if the Bible says it, then believe it, and do it!

We may not be worshiping idols, but we may have idols in our hearts (i.e., our homes, cars, jobs).

The God of this world is the world.  It offers us many things.  We have to make a decision to change and serve God as He requires. The Word of God is telling us that He is calling us!

In the times of Noah there was much warning of impending disaster, but no one heeded the warning.  They continued in their sinful ways and ultimately paid the price at the cost of their lives for their acts of disobedience.

We all know deep down if there are habits in our lives that we need to do away with, or things in our lives that do not please God.  Let us call ourselves to attention and rid ourselves of those ungodly things in our lives that hinder our growth in God.

Let us not rebel against God.  He whom God loves, He will correct.  When our children go wayward and make bad decisions, it's not that we didn't instruct them in the ways of the Lord, it's that they have a free will.  Israel was instructed and called since early but yet they rebelled against God and sacrificed to other God's.

Always remember that God does not destroy us, sin destroys us.  We may be living in an ungodly way and know that it is not pleasing to God.  If we allow the enemy into our home, he will destroy the home.  The enemy is seeking to destroy whatever he can.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

God is calling us to live in His love.  There may be pride or arrogance in our lives.  He wants us to live in a way that is pleasing to Him.  The love of God is endless.

If you know that you have offended someone, let us be honest before God.  Let us ask for forgiveness.  Let us not continue to live in strife or conflict with our friends, neighbors and others.  Let us repent so God can bless our home.

God is calling us and inviting us into His presence.

1 John 2:9-11; 4:7-11

Let us love one another.  Let us not have hate or resentment in our hearts.  They will take away our joy.

Revelation 3:19,20 ~ As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten; be zealous therefore and repent.  Behold, I stand at the door, and knock; if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him and will sup with him and he with me.
