The following is a letter from Rev. Thankachan, dated September 4, 2008:
Greetings in the wonderful name of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. I hope this letter finds you all in good health. Thank you very much for your wonderful prayers and financial support to the Indian ministry. The spirit of God is moving mightily in different part of India. God almighty blessed our miracle healing meeting very well. It was one of the biggest miracle crusade. God stopped the heavy rain. Month of August is the rainy month but God stopped rain in the meeting area. More than 25,000 people gather to hear the word of God. Every day thousands of people came forward to live for Jesus. The power of God touched and healed hundreds of people every day. They came to the stage and gave wonderful testimonies how God delivered them. Many evil spirits screamed and left from the people. There was great joy in that city Acts 8:8 happen in Tiruvellore Town. Praise the Lord.
The same time evil-spirit is working dreadfully in different part of India, especially in North-India. One Hindu leader was killed by a stranger and violence started in ORISSA. A great persecution erupts against Orissa Christians. Over 50 pastors and priest and Christian were burned alive, according to the media 543 houses and hundreds of church buildings were burned but the news from the believers it is more. This persecution had also spread to 16 districts so far and it is believed to be scattering to other districts also. They have arrested only few people. It has been believed 10,000 - 15,000 Christian is hiding in the forest by missing their loved once, houses, clothes in starvation. As there is no one to help them in this world, as Gods family we stand with them in these crises in prayer and support. All over India, Christian people are standing against this evil doing. Please pray and help this suffering Christian in Orissa to rebuild their life, house and church buildings.
